Grand Canyon Airport (GCN) Runway Closures – Update
Dates: (Phase 1A) June 15, 2025 – July 14, 2025: Pre-closure Work Location: Construction will occur at Taxiway A / B. Airfield Closures: Nightly closures of Runway 3-21 (expected to be 8pm – 6am). Effects on NAVAID's: The plan is to have the NAVAID's stay on at night during the entire duration of pre-closure work (but will be NOTAM’d out). Dates: (Phase 1) July 14, 2025 – August 10, 2025: Closure: Expect Runway 3-21 to be closed to all aircraft operations with lighted X’s on the runway ends (excluding helicopters operating from their respective ramps). KAVL will have overnight runway closures beginning Monday night (Tuesday morning, June 17) through Thursday night (Friday morning, June 20), from 0400Z–0900Z.
